Dr. Mona Gil de Gibaja
will talk about The United Way In The Time of COVID-19.
Dr Gibara is the President and CEO of United Way of North Central Florida. She has been in Alachua County for 13 years and during that time she has worked with an amazing team of community advocates to help create both the Library Partnership and the SWAG Resource Center. She has also been involved in many other collaborative initiatives including the Children’s Services Advisory Board, the NewboRN Home Visiting Program and the Alachua County Children’s Trust.
Mona started her career in Broward County and then spent about 10 years in Los Angeles where she earned her Ph.D. in social work from the University of Southern California.
